All employees must wear safety shoes. Shoes should be kept clean and free of any dirt and be in good condition.
Where our client(s) requires, overall must be “properly worn” and buttoned up. Facemasks must be properly worn to cover the employee’s nose and mouth., no jewellery can be worn in any area of the client’s plant., nail polish, false nails or false eyelashes are not to be worn, all employees must wear hairnets and beard nets when necessary while in the plant.
You are legally permitted to work in Canada and you are not drawing any benefits e.g. social assistance, unemployment insurance, which prohibits you from work.
Pay cheques are issued every Friday & Saturday. Please kindly contact us for hours of operation.
Don’t walk off the job. If you are not satisfied call our office immediately or at the end of the shift. If you walk off the job you will NOT BE PAID FOR THAT DAY.
In case of an accident you MUST call our office as soon as possible. Please inform 12 hours in advance if you are not available for the next shift. If you fail to do so you will lose one day pay.
You will not report to the customer to be hired directly to perform the same or similar duties during or after one year working through Patron Career Staffing Inc. for that company, therefore you will not compete against Patron Career Staffing Inc., who has acquainted or provided the customer with manpower in the past, present or future.
You confirm that you are in good health to perform the tasks stated in the application form.
4% vacation pay will be included in your hourly pay rate and will be paid on every pay cheque.
You agree to work more than 8 hours per day or more than 48 hours per week based on the requirement of our client(s).

STATUS
Your employment with us is considered temporary. As an elect to work employee, your assignment may be terminated at any time without notice. In the event your employment is terminated you will be paid in accordance with the employment standards act. As a courtesy. Reasonable notice should be given if you accept an assignment and are unable to attend or will not arrive for the schedule start time.
CONDUCT
We adopt a ZERO tolerance policy for fighting, horseplay, insubordination, theft, harassment and controlled substance. This includes violation of dignitary and respect and profanity towards a staff member.
TIME RECORDING:
The method of recording your hours of work may vary for each assignment. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are familiar with the method of time recording on your assignment and that your time sheet is filled out and signed by your supervisor at the end of each day/week. All time sheets must be brought/emailed/faxed to the agency office. If you fax a time sheet it is still your responsibility to send the original sheet for our records. If for any reason you cannot do so, please contact our office.
PAY INFORMATION:
Weekly/Bi-weekly you may pickup your cheque at our office or provide direct deposit form at the time of registration and have your pay directly deposited to your bank account. You must provide us with your Social Insurance card and valid photo identification to receive your pay cheque. Any pay discrepancies will be investigated and dealt with by the following pay period.
HEALTH & SAFETY:
It is our policy to provide a healthy and safe work environment. Our management is committed to making every effort to prevent personal injury and workplace illness and comply with all applicable safety laws and regulations. Directors and supervisors are accountable for the safety of the people under their supervision and are to ensure that all staff is properly trained in safe work practice and made aware of any potential safety hazards. As an employee you are required to conduct yourself in a manner that promotes safe conditions and follow established safe work practices and procedures at the work site that you are assigned. You are expected to follow reasonable instructions by the instructions by the supervisor, however you must contact our office immediately if you encounter any unsafe acts or conditions or are asked to perform any work on equipment (Regardless of your qualifications) that you have not been assigned by the agency or work hat could prove to be unsafe for yourself or co-workers. I have reviewed the Right to refuse I lock out procedures as per OHSA with our office. It is the policy of our office that certified foot protection must be worn on all industrial assignments; this policy overrides any internal policies at your assigned work location. No associate is permitted to drive a forklift or use any machine for which agency did not expressly dispatch or where the client site did not provide adequate training or in forklift ensure competency.
Overtime Limits for Assignment Employees
Assignment employees may work over 48 and under 60 hours per week, only if they enter into an overtime agreement. The overtime can be greater than 8 hours per day and greater than 48 in a week. All hours in excess of 44 are paid at time-and-a-half as per the Employment Standards Act. I also understand that any assignment employee, including myself as well as the employer can cancel this agreement by giving reasonable notice.
INJURIES:
I understand that all workplace illness must be reported to the supervisor on site and will be informed immediately to our office. I also understand that our company has modified work program and will accommodate most restriction as specified by a qualified physician. I understand that I am obliged to contact our office to arrange; modified work. If I am unable to reach anyone immediately. I am expected to come to the office on the next business day.
HARASSMENT POLICY:
In accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code, Every person who is an employee has a right to freedom from harassment in the workplace by the employer or agent of the employer or by another employee because of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, record of offences, marital status, family status or disability. Every person has a right to equal treatment with respect to employment without discrimination. Harassment is a form of discrimination. It includes any unwanted physical or verbal behaviour that offends or humiliates you by one or more co-workers and includes behavior where the harasser ought reasonable to know that it is unwelcome. Furthermore, every employee has the right to be free from sexual harassment, unwelcome sexual advances or solicitation. Incidents related to harassment policy should be reported immediately to your supervisor and our office.
Note:
We reserve the right to cancel our agreement, if any employee is not performing up to the agency’s standards.
